New Zealand's Green Building Council has a national summit in Auckland this month where leading American architect David Hobstetter is the keynote speaker.
He will talk about one of the world's most earthquake-resistant buildings developed for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission at 525 Golden Gate Ave. He is the principal of KMD Architects and designed what is said to be San Francisco's greenest building, with a platinum-certified rating and a performance mandate of immediate post-earthquake occupancy.
Green Building Summit, Pullman Hotel, Corner Waterloo Quadrant and Princes Street, Auckland, Wednesday March 20, 8am-6pm. Register with the Green Building Council, www.nzgbc.org.nzf
