Bayleys Canterbury has bought out long-established real estate business Cantcomm which was founded 15 years ago and has a strong market share in leasing transactions. Head of Bayleys Canterbury's commercial property Pete Whalan said the acquisition would lift Bayleys Canterbury's commercial team to 19 with several more sales consultants joining in the coming months.
Walking for wishes
CB Richard Ellis's property management staff throughout New Zealand will walk 10km next Friday to raise money for Make-A-Wish charity, which helps sick children and their families. More than 800 staff, tenants, suppliers, family and friends across Australasia will take part to raise more than $50,000.
CBD and Kingsland units
A 225sq m office unit with four carparks at 38 Whitaker Place in central Auckland was sold for $375,000 at a 6.9 per cent yield through Alan Haydock of Bayleys Auckland. It is leased to Management Toolbox for two years from September 2009 with a two-year right of renewal. Haydock was also involved in the mortgagee sale for $80,000 of a 32sq m ground floor office unit in an apartment complex at 401 New North Rd, Kingsland.
Tamaki Mastertrade
Colliers International brokers Charlie Oscroft, John Green and Greg Goldfinch have negotiated the sale of a 4411sq m property with a 1307sq m Mastertrade store and two vacant units at 46 Ormiston Rd, East Tamaki, to a private investor for $4.65 million. The Mastertrade lease returns $330,000 per annum.
Princes Wharf office
A 340sq m office unit in Shed 24 on Princes Wharf in the Auckland CBD has been sold by Andre Siegert and James Hill of Bayleys Auckland and Michael Block of Bayleys North Shore for $1.2 million at a 9.6 per cent yield.
