A substantial residential subdivision site in the Coromandel beach town of Hahei is being marketed as an opportunity for developers to create a holiday and lifestyle destination.
Colliers International is selling by negotiation the 22.5ha landholding at 94 Hahei Beach Rd which is featured in the latest Colliers Portfolio publication.
"The land is only 900m from Hahei Beach, considered by many as Coromandel's finest," says Colliers' special projects manager Roger Seavill. "The upper reaches of the site offer superb views over Hahei township, its stunning coastline and the picturesque islands beyond. Hahei is known for an idyllic pink sandy beach, as well as being close to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach."
Zoned Rural Lifestyle, the land is within an area covered by the Hahei Entrance Structure Plan, which provides guidelines for future development. The provisions would allow the site to be subdivided into 40 individual plots of 600 to 5000sq m.
Seavill says the area has numerous cafes, cafes and galleries.
