Tracey adds: "Once we entered the apartment itself, we were impressed with the layout and the sense of space. We also loved the full size bifold windows in the lounge. Overall the building just had a really nice feeling."
Tracey says they bought the apartment after that first viewing just over a year ago and then set about refurbishing it. It was repainted in neutral colours and had new cream-coloured carpet laid.
She and Robert lived there for a while before renting it out. The layout of the apartment is simple with the L-shaped kitchen tucked in a corner of the open plan living space. As well as a dishwasher, a washing machine sits under the kitchen bench.
Off the living space is a bedroom with en suite.
Tracey says: "The apartment is to be sold with a large number of chattels. All crockery, cutlery, kettle, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, bed, lamps, TV, couch, coffee table, dining table etc.
The Romano has been freshened up in the past year along with some more major works.
Tracey says: "The hallways, lobby and common areas have been recently repainted and look nice and fresh and the old lift is also in the process of being reinstated after being out of commission."
She says the apartment is central to so many amenities, making it ideal for everyone from students to professional couples.
"The location of the apartment is great. Close to the Viaduct, the Britomart station, ferry buildings, supermarket, Queen Street itself and the university."
She and Robert are selling as they are in the process of building a home at Hobsonville Point.
