Drone service Kiwi franchise on offer

Link Business is selling the Kiwi master franchise for what has been described as Australia's largest drone services company.

National Drones was founded in Australia in August 2015, going on to become a leader in flight education and data recording and reporting, says Link broker Angie Flemming.

The New Zealand master franchise launched in February 2018, with the present vendor now reluctantly selling for health reasons.

"This opens up an opportunity to take this exciting technology provider to the next level," says Flemming.

"The National Drones mission is to digitally transform businesses around the world, helping companies to work smarter, safer and faster through innovative aerial intelligence and data solutions. Within New Zealand, it plans nine individual franchises, one of which is now fully operational in Christchurch."

Flemming says the company has developed sophisticated reporting software, called Smart Data, and it is this intellectual property — along with training, support, systems and procedures — that set it apart in the burgeoning field of drone and data technology.

"The technology already provides a safer, faster and more cost-effective way to carry out inspections and the varied additional work. Every day drones prove their worth in aerial photography; farm, building and construction inspections; emergency services, insurance assessment and thermal imaging. Add in the likes of media, mining, conservation and real estate work and it's easy to see how broad the span of work has become.

Flemming says responsibilities of the NZ master franchisor would cover recruitment of suitable franchisees, ongoing support and mentoring; plus business-to-business sales and development to secure new customers and contracts and to build the brand throughout the country.

Skills training in piloting and use of software can be provided.
