Colliers International has been awarded the property management contract for the 15,230sq m Downtown Shopping Centre, on the corner of Customs St West and Lower Albert St, following a competitive selection process.
The centre was recently sold to Precinct Properties New Zealand for $90 million through Colliers International's corporate and institutional sales team on behalf of Westfield.
The three-level centre is home to 70 retailers and is located on a 0.7 hectare site on a busy downtown corner. Key tenants include The Warehouse, Postie and Amazon.
Colliers claims its retail real estate management division is the largest independent retail property manager in NZ, managing over 400,000sq m of shopping centre floor area. This is the seventh largest centre in the team's management portfolio.
