Peacefulness resonates throughout this waterfront family home where a premium overhaul has complemented the house's 1970s architectural origins.
Owner Nancie Plested says: "I love its privacy and peacefulness. And that's the main thing people comment about - the privacy, plus the spaciousness and the view."
She says her home was built in the 1970s by one of the members of the Moodabe family, who spearheaded cinemas in this country. A few years ago, she took it over from a family member who'd renovated the home after buying it around 2005 directly from the original owners. "So this house has never actually been on the market before."
Its waterfront perch, down a long driveway, admires the sea against a backdrop of the summit of Rangitoto Island projecting above the Pt England Reserve. Nancie was drawn to the home's blend of fabulous entertaining facilities, bountiful accommodation and handiness to St Kentigern College, which her two children attended.
