Colliers International raised $200,000 for three Otago organisations, in conjunction with hosting top private clients at an annual long-lunch charity fundraiser, held on a remote high-country station.
The 2018 Colliers Latitude 45 South Lunch and charity auction raised the money for Wakatipu High School Foundation, Cure Kids and the Otago Hospice - taking the total raised since the event's inception in 2011 to $1,025,980.
"The lunch was held at Ben Nevis station in a marquee among restored historic farm buildings," says Mark Simpson, Colliers' Queenstown director.
"Our top private clients nationwide were flown to Queenstown and then helicoptered to a 'mystery destination' where the long lunch showcased the best of Otago's wine and food," Simpson says. "This was followed by a well-supported charity auction for the three worthy local causes."
