Bayleys Auckland Central has increased its retail sales and leasing team with the appointment of Jan Hutcheson as retail projects specialist and Mike Singh as a retail sales and leasing consultant focusing on the evolving northwest Auckland market.
Hutcheson has more than two decades of retail and commercial property experience both in New Zealand and Australia. As leasing manager for Symphony Projects, she spearheaded the successful leasing of the Albany City project, with stage one fully leased to high-profile, bulk retail home-related tenancies and strong commitment gained for stage two, the Gateway Convenience Retail Centre.
Bayleys retail team leader Ed Donald said Hutcheson would work closely with retail specialists in Bayleys' 57 New Zealand offices to identify opportunities and create timely and savvy solutions for developers, landlords and tenants.
Singh joins Bayleys after cementing a successful 12-year real estate career with rival firm, Harcourts.
Donald said Singh had had broad practical experience in marketing, construction, development, finance and investment.
He had also owned and operated several thriving retail businesses himself over the last decade, giving him experience across the retail property spectrum and an understanding of the challenges facing both landlords and tenants.
Donald said, "Auckland's north-west is recognised as being one of the region's fastest growing areas, so it was natural for us to seek out a specialist retail sales and leasing agent with extensive networks to be based in that area."
