"I find it a very relaxing house to be in," she says.
Downstairs, an airy vestibule leads to a large, open-plan living, kitchen and dining room with wooden flooring and huge, double-glazed windows. At the end, there's yet another space for armchairs and couches.
Although the ceilings are tall, the atmosphere is remarkably intimate, and there is plenty of room for entertaining.

With the popular Benson Rd shops and cafes just moments away, the Orakei Basin nature walk and public transport nearby, Kacey was looking forward to settling into her dream home but a change of circumstances means that won't be possible.
"I've been accepted to study medicine in Japan and it's something I've always wanted to do," she says. "I'll be living in an apartment in Tokyo, which won't be nearly as big and comfortable.
