Fletcher Construction has a $1.3 billion order book, giving it the largest backlog of work in New Zealand.
The Penrose-based business, owned by Fletcher Building, has a large number of state-funded and infrastructure jobs which chief executive Jonathan Ling says supports the company. Projects include:
* Eden Park South Stand redevelopment for Rugby World Cup 2011.
* 21 Queen St, extending an office block in Auckland's CBD.
* Mt Eden Auckland Central Remand Prison redevelopment, a $216 million job started in the winter.
* Stamford Residences, adding 11 floors and 149 freehold apartments above the hotel on Albert St.
* One Featherston, a 48,000sq m 15-level new Green Star-rated Wellington office building for Inland Revenue.
* AMI Stadium East Stand, new sports building in Christchurch.
* New Bank of New Zealand waterfront office building in Wellington.
* Hospital projects at Tauranga, Waikato and Middlemore Hospitals.
* New six-level Wellington Regional Hospital building, started in 2005.
Transport agency schemes:
* Avalon Drive in Hamilton, construction of two roundabouts, two bridges and a 2.7km two-lane bypass.
* Dowse to Petone, new motorway in Wellington.
* Northern Busway Stage 2, Onewa Rd off-ramp at Northcote.
* Second Manukau Harbour Crossing, an alliance with Transit.
* Tauranga Harbour Link, duplicate of a previous Fletcher-built bridge.
* New Lynn rail grade separation, country's largest rail project.
