In this week's Budget the Government agreed to develop a warrant of fitness scheme to require rental housing to be warm, dry and safe. It's starting with Housing New Zealand properties, but may extend the scheme to private rentals once it has its own house in order. Until then, families in cold, damp rented homes owned by private landlords will continue to suffer.
The Herald on Sunday and Right House want to help them now, by offering five landlords the chance to insulate their tenants' homes, not only improving their tenants' quality of life, but also the value of their investment.
To enter the competition fill out the form below and tell us why you need help to insulate your tenants' home.
Entries close at 5pm on Friday, May 24.
