The Contact Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is New Zealand's premier and largest cycling event where up to 10,000 riders from across New Zealand and over 20 countries around the globe take part each year.
Held on the last Saturday of every November around the pristine and picturesque Lake Taupo, the event will this year celebrate its 37th anniversary on Saturday the 30th of November. It is well known for its 160km Bike Barn Solo, a one lap circumnavigation of Lake Taupo, but this is just one of 15 event categories on offer, with both Road and Mountain Bike options for individuals and teams, catering to all levels of cycling and fitness abilities.
