Terms and Conditions
1.Information on How to Enter and all details on the competition ad form part of these Terms. To the extent of any inconsistency, the Terms below prevail. By entering, readers accept these Terms.
2.Entry is open to NZ residents only. Anyone employed by (and any immediate family member of someone employed by) APN, Kumuka Worldwide or Hoyts Distribution are ineligible to enter. APN is APN New Zealand Limited (and its related companies). Entries close Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 5pm. Readers may enter as many times as they like, but each entry must be in a separate envelope and include an original entry coupon (no photocopies accepted).
3. There is one main prize and 10 runner-up prizes to be won: (1) The main prize winner will receive: 2x Economy flights (ex Auckland) to Capetown/Livingstone as arranged by Kumuka Worldwide travel; and a double pass to see 'Earth' in-season in cinemas. A 'Southern Star' Kumuka tour for two people from Capetown to Livingstone/Victoria Falls: Trip conditions - a) The travel prize must be used by 1 September 2009. b) Prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. c) Any attempt to resell or auction all or part of this prize will result in immediate cancellation of the prize. d) The prize is subject to availability as determined by Kumuka Worldwide. e) Economy return flights will be organised by Kumuka Worldwide. Flights are ex Auckland and winner will need to arrange their own transport to and from Auckland. Certain black out dates for airfares apply. f) Travel insurance, visas, transfers, additional nights accommodation, inoculations, items of a personal nature, local payments, taxes, fuel surcharges, optional excursions, and any other costs occurred during the course of the journey are not included. g) Prize-winner and their travelling companions must be over the age of 18 and under the age of 70 and travel together. This is an adventure tour so please be aware we'll be travelling to remote locations, sometimes with basic facilities. h) Once booked the tour date cannot be changed or cancelled or prize will be forfeited. i) Accommodation on arrival before the start date and after the end date of the tour will be at the winner's expense. (2) Ten runners-up will each receive a double pass to see 'Earth' in-season.
4.Winners will be notified by phone in the first instance and then by post in the form of a winner's confirmation letter. If the prize is not claimed within 7 days of the draw, APN may re-draw a new winner of the prize. APN's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.Neither APN, Kumuka Worldwide or Hoyts Distribution are liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the promotion or any prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
6.Late, lost, stolen, misdirected, illegal, incomplete, illegible, damaged, reproduced, or altered entries are invalid. APN is not responsible for such entries or for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.
7.APN reserves the right to vary these Terms or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion.
8.APN reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry. APN may disqualify any person who tampers with the process or fails to comply with these Terms.
9.Entries become the property of APN. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, APN collects. and holds personal information to conduct the promotion, notify prize winners and verify verify prize winners' identities and the information may be used for Kumuka Worldwide's future promotional activities if consent is given from the entrant via the tick box, on the entry form. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by APN by calling 0800 100 888. Failure to provide all requested personal information might result in the entry being invalid.
10.By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the promoter using his/her details and photographs for promotional and media publicity purposes.
