5. Insulation work must be carried out within six months of the prize being won.
6. There will be one (1) winner in total for this promotion. Competition closes Sunday 13 July, 2014
7. The one (1) prize package includes:
•2Kw of Trina Honey Solar Panels (8 x 250w Solar Panels), 4kw solar inverter, roof racking, cabling and full installation worth $7,495.
8. The winner will be required to cover any additional costs associated with a non-standard installation (ie: access difficulties / flat roof). If the winner is unable to have the solar system installed as per the requirements, then APN and SolarKing will redraw the prize.
9. All expenses, insurance, and all other ancillary costs associated with the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
10. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash and all components of the prize must be taken together. If the winner's home is not compatible for a solar system the winner cannot get cash value instead and SolarKing and Element (APN NZ) reserve the right to give the prize to someone else. The solar panel system must be installed by SolarKing or a nominated partner of theirs. Installation will occur within six months of winner being notified at a time that is mutually agreed.
11. Neither APN, nor SolarKing are liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the promotion or any prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law. APN, and SolarKing will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection with this promotion if this deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of APN and SolarKing including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by APN New Zealand Limited and SolarKing in its absolute discretion.
12. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by APN when received in to APN's 'Win a solar panel system' database and NOT at time of transmission by the entrant. APN's records are conclusive as to time of receipt. Late, illegal, incomplete, or illegible, entries are invalid. APN is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.
13. Entrants are identified by the email address used to submit the entry. Any prize won by a web entrant will be awarded to the holder of the email address (or that person's parent/guardian) from which that entry was submitted. APN takes no responsibility for disputes resulting from entries submitted using an email address belonging to any other person.
14. Entries become the property of APN. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, APN collects personal information and APN holds personal information to conduct the promotion, notify prize winners, verify prize winners' identities and may be used by APN, and SolarKing for future promotional activities, including (where consented to) sending the entrant emails. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by APN, by calling 0800 100 888.
15. Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid.
16. Each entrant agrees that, if he or she wins a prize, his or her details (including name, suburb/town, and photo) may be published in the respective APN publication (print and/or online) and used for other publicity purposes.
17. Winners will be notified by phone, email or post. The winner will be randomly drawn within one week of the competition closing date.
18. APN reserves the right to vary the terms, and to modify, terminate or reschedule the Competition, and to substitute any of the prizes for a similar prize of the same value.
