Terms and Conditions for "Win a Family Pass to the Auckland International Boat Show" competition (as seen in Weekend Marine of The Weekend Herald, Saturday, February 28,2009).
1. Information on How to Enter and all details on the competition ad form part of these Terms. To the extent of any inconsistency, the Terms below prevail. By entering, readers accept these Terms. Entry is open to NZ residents only. Anyone employed by (and any immediate family member of someone employed by) APN are ineligible to enter. APN is APN New Zealand Limited (and its related companies).
2. Entries close 5pm, Sunday, March 1, 2009. Readers may enter once per email address per prize, and all required details must be included to be eligible for the draw. The draw will take place on Monday, February 2, 2009.
3. The first ten (10) entries drawn will each receive a Family Pass valued at $40.00 to the 2009 Auckland International Boat Show. The pass is valid for one day of the boat show, between March 5 - 8, 2009 (10am - 6pm). The Family Pass includes entry for two (2) adults and two (2) children (up to and including 15 years of age). Children under 5 gain free entry to the show. The passes can be redeemed at either entrance of the show (Quay St or Halsey Street).
4. Prize is not redeemable for cash. Any attempt to resell or auction all or part of this prize will result in immediate cancellation of the prize.
5. The prizewinners will be notified by phone and/or post. If the prize is not claimed within 2 days of the draw, APN may re-draw a new winner of the prize. APN's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. APN is not liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the promotion or any prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by APN, i.e. when received via the boatshowcompetition@nzherald.co.nz email database, and NOT at time of transmission by the entrant). APN's records are conclusive as to time of receipt. APN is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.
8. APN reserves the right to vary these Terms or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion.
9. APN reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry. APN may disqualify any person who tampers with the process or fails to comply with these Terms.
10. Entries become the property of APN. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, APN collects and holds personal information to conduct the promotion, notify prize winners and verify verify prize winners' identities and the information may be used for future promotional activities. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by APN by calling 0800 100 888. Failure to provide all requested personal information might result in the entry being invalid.
11. By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the promoter using his/her details and photographs for promotional and media publicity purposes.
