It's a vital and expensive business saving lives and caring for the health and well-being of New Zealanders. Before the tyres of an ambulance even hit the road responding to the first 111 call, well over $200,000 has been spent.
Last year St John received 353,000 emergency 111calls for an ambulance and attended 124,424 emergency incidents. Unlike Police and Fire, St John are a charity and the ambulance service this year will have a shortfall of $14 million for the year. Donate now and help continue to save lives.
St John provides emergency ambulance services for nearly 90% of New Zealanders and to 97% of New Zealand's geographical area.
By making a donation this appeal week (20-26 June) you can help St John to continue to provide life saving emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provide first aid, caring services and community programmes throughout the country.
Donate online today or simply call 0800 ST JOHN (0800 785 646). Our staff and volunteers will be out collecting right around the country or you can make donation at any ASB branch.
