Instructions for Blues Pirate Hat

Join mascots Bluebeard the Pirate and Nikki & Kahu and show your support for the Blues against the Stormers next Saturday by making your very own pirate hat (see the instructions below). Wear your pirate hat to the game, be captured on the big screen and one lucky pirate will win:

- Platinum seats for 4 at the Blues v Western Force at Eden Park on Saturday, April 17
- An exclusive stadium tour pre-match
- A Playstation 2 with the Pirates of the Caribbean Playstation 2 Game

Plus there'll be plenty of spot prizes given away including CD's, electronics vouchers and Family Passes to Rainbows End, Kelly Tarltons and more!

Follow the directions below, be creative and decorate your very own pirate hat to win:

1. Take a double spread of the newspaper & fold the paper in half. (For younger children, cut approximately 1/4 off the newspaper from the side)
2. Fold and unfold to mark the centre
3. Fold the corner to the center line
4. Turn the paper over and repeat on the other side
5. Fold up a flap, using the top sheet of paper only
6. Turn the paper over and repeat
7. Bring the left and right corners together and flatten them to make a square
8. Fold the bottom corner – one sheet only – to the top corner, then turn it over and repeat.
9. Finished! A small piece of tape over the top point will help keep it all together
10. Now you can decorate it as you wish, then put on your hat and swab the deck, matey!
