Terms and Conditions of Entry for the Herald on Sunday Emirates Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament 2009 Promotion
1. Information on How to Enter and all details and instructions appearing on the point of sale, entry form and the in-paper ads, form part of the terms and conditions of entry to this Competition. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information on how to enter and other details and instructions, the Terms and Conditions below will prevail.
2. Entry into this Competition indicates an acceptance and agreement of all these terms & conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions you should not enter the Competition.
3. The promotional period runs from Sunday September 6, 2009 until Sunday September 20, 2009. See condition 6 below.
4. Entry is open to NZ residents except employees (and such employees' immediate families) of APN New Zealand Limited (NZ Herald and Herald on Sunday), Emirates and their agencies associated with the promotion and The New Zealand Herald/Herald on Sunday retailers. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry may result in the entry being invalid. If the main prizewinner drawn is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to their parent or guardian. The winner must hold a current NZ passport and be medically fit for travel.
5. To enter, collect a coupon from The Herald on Sunday during the promotional period, fill out the coupon and post to: Herald on Sunday Emirates ICC Champions Trophy Tournament 2009 Promotion, PO Box 3290, Shortland St, Auckland 1140.
Entrants may enter as often as they wish, but each entry coupon must be posted in a separate envelope and no photocopied coupons will be accepted.
6. Entry closes at end of business hours, 5pm, on September 24, 2009. All coupons will need to be received by then.
All entries will be compiled at the promotion conclusion. The prize draw will take place by 5pm, September 25 2009 and one winning entry will be randomly drawn from all submitted entries. Winners will be notified by phone.
7. Prize Details: There is one (1) prize package including two return business class airfares from Auckland to Johannesburg flying Emirates, departing Auckland on September 30. Accommodation for the nights of 1-5 October and transfers to and from airport and to matches are included.
Prize winners must be available to travel on dates stated. Additional stay or travel to elsewhere will be at prize winner's expense and subject to alternative return flight availability.
8. Prize winners must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the completion of travel. Current valid passports and any visa documentation required are the responsibility of the winner and the travelling participants.
The winner of the prize is responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included, including (where applicable) departure taxes, any visa requirements, meal costs, spending money, travel insurance, excess baggage and all other incidentals.
9. The winner will be notified by phone in the first instance and then confirmed in writing. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within two days of the prize draw, the winner will forfeit the prize and a redraw will be made.
10. It is the winners' responsibility to cover any travel costs associated with collection of or redemption of their prize.
11. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Prizes are not exchangeable, not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
13. Herald on Sunday (and its related companies) accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail and will not be liable to any person in any way in relation to this Competition or the prize(s) (including but not limited to personal injury) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Each person who enters the Competition acknowledges that the Herald on Sunday or any representative of the Herald on Sunday has made no representations as to the quality or fitness for purpose of the prize.
15. All entries become the property of the Herald on Sunday. The Herald on Sunday collects and holds personal information provided with each entry, to be used to notify prize winners, to verify prize winners' identities and, unless otherwise requested may be used for future promotional activities conducted by the Herald on Sunday and Emirates. Under the Privacy Act 1993, all individuals have rights of access to, and correction of, their personal information held by the Herald on Sunday at 46 Albert Street, Auckland by contacting NZ Herald on 09-3795050 during business hours. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry may result in the entry being invalid.
16. The winners' names and photos may be used for publicity purposes and by accepting the prizes the winners must make themselves available for this purpose. 17. The promoter is APN New Zealand Limited (Herald on Sunday), 46 Albert Street, Auckland.
