This Christmas, ChildFund is encouraging New Zealanders to help the most vulnerable children in the world: children living in poverty without the protection of parents.
Orphans like Molly who lives with her disabled grandmother Freda in a Kenyan slum that no Kiwi could ever imagine living in. Barefoot Molly has to hunt through garbage to find scraps to sell. If she doesn't, they go hungry.
Children in some of the world's poorest countries are at high risk of hunger, disease and even losing their parents to HIV and AIDS. There are few support systems for these vulnerable children.
ChildFund has been working for more than 70 years to help children break free from poverty and understands the care young children need.
For just 70 cents a day or $20 a month New Zealanders can help provide food, water, basic health care and other essential support services to orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya and Zambia.
