Terms and Conditions
1. Information on How to Enter and all details and instructions appearing on the entry form and at point of sale, forms part of the terms and conditions of entry to this Competition. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information on How to Enter and other details and instructions, the Terms and Conditions below will prevail.
2. Entry into this Competition indicates an acceptance and agreement of all these terms & conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions you should not enter the Competition.
3. Entry is open to NZ residents except employees (and such employees' immediate families) of APN New Zealand Limited (NZ Herald), Redgroup Retail Limited, Canon their agencies associated with the promotion and New Zealand Herald retailers. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry may result in the entry being invalid.
4. To enter, purchase The New Zealand Herald or Herald on Sunday, between Monday, March 22 until Sunday, April 11, 2010 from a Whitcoulls store within the North Island and either
a) hand a completed "Be into Win a Canon video camera" entry form with an original proof of purchase (receipt) to a Whitcoulls customer service representative or
b) send your completed entry form with an attached original proof of purchase (receipt) to "Be into WIN a Canon video camera " promotion, The New Zealand Herald, Marketing Department, PO Box 3290, Auckland City 1140. In-store entries must be received by store close on Sunday, April 11, 2010. Postal entries must be received by 5pm Friday, April 16, 2010. Entrants may enter as often as they wish, but each entry must be on a separate entry form provided at the pint of purchase and accompanied by a separate original proof of purchase (receipt).
5. Each completed and valid entry form will be entered into the draw to win. Entries not complying with these Terms and Conditions, and any late, lost, stolen, misdirected, illegal, incomplete, illegible, damaged, reproduced, or altered entries, will be deemed invalid. NZ Herald reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry.
6. Prize Details:
Twenty five (25) winners will receive a pocket-sized SD video camera with 32GB built in flash memory that records both movies and still images with a 45x zoom. Plus each of the cameras will come with a bag.
7. The prize draw will take place by 5pm Friday, April 21, 2010.
8. The winners' will be notified by phone and confirmed in writing. If the winners' cannot be contacted nor do not claim the prize within 14 days of the prize draw, that winner will forfeit the prize and a redraw will be made.
9. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. Prizes are not exchangeable, not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
11. NZ Herald (and its related companies) accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail and will not be liable to any person in any way in relation to this Competition or the prize(s) (including but not limited to personal injury) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Each person who enters the competition acknowledges that no representations as to the quality or fitness for purpose of the prize has been made by NZ Herald or any representative of the NZ Herald.
13. All entries become the property of NZ Herald. NZ Herald collects and holds personal information provided with each entry, to be used to notify prize winner, to verify prize winner's identity and, unless otherwise requested may be used for future promotional activities conducted by the NZ Herald. Under the Privacy Act 1993, all individuals have rights to access to and correction of their personal information held by the NZ Herald at 46 Albert Street, Auckland by contacting NZ Herald on 0800 100 888 during business hours. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry may result in the entry being invalid.
14. The winners' name and photo may be used for publicity purposes and by accepting the prize the winner must make himself/herself available for this purpose.
