Situation:

Today, a low moves to the east of the North Island. Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure gradually moves over the North Island and covers most of the country tomorrow. A front approaches Fiordland from the Tasman Sea late on Tuesday, then weakens rapidly as it moves over the South Island on Wednesday. Another ridge extends over the North Island on Thursday and a front moves over the far south.
