Situation:

A ridge of high pressure dominates over Aotearoa/New Zealand today and tomorrow. However, a weakening front moves north up the upper North Island today while another front brushes the far south. A ridge of high pressure over the country weakens during Wednesday as a low over the Tasman Sea moves closer to New Zealand. The low moves onto central New Zealand during Thursday and remains in the area through Friday.
