Today, a front moves onto the North Island, while a weak front affects parts of the South Island. Tomorrow, a high-pressure system covers northern and central New Zealand, while fronts move onto the southern South Island. On Sunday, a low from the Tasman Sea is expected to move across southern and central parts of the country, bringing associated rain bands. On Monday, the low moves off to the east, and a trough embedded in a very moist air mass may affect the North Island. Then on Tuesday, another low approaches from the Tasman Sea, bringing further wet weather.
