Area Description:
Inshore waters from Waitarere to Pukerua Bay and out to Kapiti Island.
Situation:
A large high lies over the country today and begins to move east tomorrow. A front is expected to reach the lower South Island tomorrow night. A front moves northeast over the South Island on Tuesday and weakens. A new high pressure system moves onto the country following the front, covering the whole country on Wednesday and remaining slow moving on Thursday.

Sunday: Northeast 10 knots, easing to variable 5 knots this morning. Southerly 10 knots but 15 knots south of Kapiti Island developing this afternoon, then easing to variable 5 knots everywhere this evening. Sea slight. Mainly fine. Northwest swell half a metre dying out.

Outlook until midnight Wednesday: Monday: Variable 5 knots, becoming northwest 10 knots in the morning. Partly cloudy. Tuesday: Northerly 10 knots, rising to northwest 20 knots early. Partly cloudy. Westerly swell 1 metre developing. Wednesday: Northwest 15 knots, turning southwest 10 knots early. Turning easterly 10 knots later. A few showers. Westerly swell 1 metre dying out.
