Youths sing for the elderly in church

The Youth Sings For You concert held at St Lukes Union Church last week was heralded as a success by all involved. Students from Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Wairarapa, Ponatahi Christian School and Solway College sang for members of Wairarapa retirement villages at the church. Teacher at Solway College Christine Stevenson said students had enjoyed the day after weeks of training. It was wonderful for them the process of performing. There was a great variety of performances. Further concerts will be held in the coming months with performances from Hadlow School, Rathkeale, St Mathews, Solway Primary, Lakeview School, Chanel College, Makoura College, Fernridge School, Masterton Intermediate and Wairarapa College Choir and Jazz Band.
