Youths face court for attack on Flaxmere widow

Two youths were arrested yesterday over the robbery of a 95-year-old widow at the weekend.

Hastings police charged two Flaxmere youths with the aggravated robbery of Elsie Jones in Flaxmere.

Mrs Jones was robbed of a loaf of bread and a purse containing $2.

A youth of 16 is due to appear in the Hastings Youth Court today and one of 18 in the Hastings District Court. Both are being held in custody.
