Youth on assault charge after taxi attack

A youth has been charged with assault after a man was pushed into the path of a moving taxi in Napier last month.

The victim, 34, was left in a critical condition when pushed into the side of the taxi van after being attacked by a group of three men on a footpath in Milton Rd.

The youth, 15, has been remanded in custody.
