A teenager charged with causing his father's death by carelessly using a firearm has been remanded to appear in court later this month.
Brian Adams, 46, died on May 16 from a gunshot wound to the head on his farm on Mine Rd Hukerenui, 30km north of Whangarei.
His 17-year-old son Colin appeared in Whangarei District Court today charged with causing his father's death by carelessly using a bolt-action rifle.
He was remanded on bail for a pre-depositions hearing on June 28.
