One of the teenagers allegedly involved in the aggravated robbery of a Wanganui dairy at the weekend, in which a mother and daughter were assaulted, has been arrested.
The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated injury when he appeared in Wanganui District Court today, police said.
He will appear again on March 9.
The incident happened at the Harper Street dairy just after 5pm on Sunday when a group of youths entered the dairy and allegedly attacked the pair who were working in the shop.
A 28-year-old woman and her 56-year-old mother required hospital treatment for injuries, including facial injuries.
Six teenagers were seen nearby around the time of the attack and they were still being sought by police.
