A youth accused of the brutal bashing of war veteran Eric Brady in south Auckland earlier this year will have name and image suppression continued.
The 18-year-old reappeared in Manukau District Court today charged with causing grievous bodily harm, being armed with a knife and stealing Mr Brady's car keys.
The charges follow an attack outside the Papatoetoe RSA on February 18 which left Mr Brady's jaw broken in two places and his face badly bruised.
Name and image suppression will continue at least until the accused reappears in Manukau District Court for a depositions hearing on May 27, which will decide whether he should stand trial.
