I'm still watching the rugby, there are still moments of magic i.e anything Dan Carter does and that sensational try by Hosea Gear last week. But the powers that be should have left it as the Super 12. Two more teams that no-one cares about, new scrum rules that are atrocious and have brought the game to a near stand still and no standard between referees just a different interpretation each time. Don't get me started on the three points for a drop goal, this is rugby not force back. I'll continue watching but the powers that are need to address a lot of things or real rugby lovers will start watching something else and that will have nothing to do with the players or the game but corporate ignorance.

As a former rugby player and ardent supporter I have progressively lost interest in the game (mainly at Super 12/14 level) over several years. The modern game I find uninteresting and have, since the advent of the Warriors League club turned to league as my winter sport of preference. In my opinion the Super 14 does nothing for the sport in New Zealand and, in fact, has ruined the sport at a provincial level. The modern game is slow, boring, predictable. All too often it appears to be played by mindless individuals incapable of reading the game and adapting a game plan apart from intuitive impulses that sometime work but often don't.
Adam
NZRFU does not understand that the customer comes first. It seems to me that the viewing public has never been considered in anything that they have done for some years now. I stopped going to Eden Park a while back because it represents such poor value for money. Getting searched upon entry doesn't happen at the movies, bars, restaurants, shopping malls, it's not customer friendly behavior. Rugby administrators don't get this. Rugby is generally unwatchable now anyway ( crouch, pause, touch, engage ) and I keep sky for soccer, American sports, pardon the interruption and the new season warriors. Rugby not longer gets a look in.
Aidan Thomas
Having been a lifetime player, supporter, administrator of rugby (it has been in my blood since birth) I have become very disillusioned with the game. It has become so very boring and is dominated by the whistle. The game needs a complete revamp of the rules to make it easier on refs, players and more attractive for viewers. The game is being stifled by the obsession with defence to the point of being ridiculous. How can you expect back play to develop (and therefore become more skillful and attractive) when you have 10 to 12 players lining up both as attackers and defenders? I am afraid I don't watch anywhere near as much rugby as I have done in the past and sadly am even shying away from going to club rugby every week.
Andrew
The volume of rugby doesn't concern me too much its the quality and its generally rubbish because of the PC laws, can't ruck, can't scrummage and it takes 4 goes at putting a scrum down, Theres never a straight feed into the scrum probably because its a relief to keep a scrum up, the laws at a ruck & maul are a total shambles, The modern laws have ruined the game to the point where every game is largely the same - boring!
Sam Craig
The game has become too defensive (defensive skills have improved amazingly but attacking skills have not improved greatly)with too many players on the paddock. The two breakaways must be removed. The game is becoming boring.
Jeff Smith
I am a past season ticket holder at Eden Park and up until this season, I would go to all All Black tests in my region and would watch the majority of Super 14 games each week on TV. This year, I have got to the stage where I only watch the Blues games. The standard of refereeing and the new scrum rules have totally ruined Rugby as a spectacle for me. I am sure this is why viewer numbers have dropped so much. It has nothing to do with resting All Blacks, or other sporting codes going well. Rugby on the whole, is just not what it used to be to watch.to tell the truth, I would much prefer to watch an NRL game than 90% of the current rugby that is being played.
Mike
Its rugby overload. Its just not that special anymore. The same teams, the same competition each year and it all becomes very repetitive and boring. I was a huge rugby fan but there doesn't seem to be much reason to watch it now. Super rugby has done its dash, give us something else.
Jesse Barraclough
To me it is quite simple: The refs dont know s*t from clay and always go upstairs even when they are Johnny on the spot. The linesmen invite themselves on to the paddock at any opportunity increasing the stoppages, there is no longer any monster forward "push" and kicking for touch has become the most frequent play - the scrums are a lottery, the rucks and mauls are diabolical, couple this with the fact that sky TV rule the way I must pay to view the footy, (league included), and should I choose not to pay whatever they dictate, I find myself sitting at the kitchen table listening to it on the radio like days of old - progress?? Only for those with ping! Lastly and most importantly, watching cricket and rugby at the same time is not cool - the Super 14 season starts way too early. Go the NRL!
Ivan
Rugby has no soul anymore, it was sold to the "corporates" a few years ago.
Dean
I make do with the Internet and Prime for Rugby. TV3 s broadcasting the cup. I don't want all Sky's crappy TV, just sport. So it's ADSL or Sky. ADSL has more value. Sky are dreaming the AB's affecting its viewing. Typical of a monopoly to start blaming anybody for revenue loss, if only they had real competition then maybe they would have to do some work to win subscribers.
Cynthia Johnson (Christchurch)
I have been thoroughly enjoying watching the Super 14 games, mind you the only games I watch are my beloved Crusaders and those are the away ones. Otherwise I am in my seat at Jade Stadium and getting geared up for the Hurricanes match on Friday night. I have been a season ticket holder since moving up here in 2002 and wouldn't consider dropping this even if I was poor. As you can see I am a rugby fanatic and go into an emotional decline between the seasons.
Kane
To be honest it's all be said already the fact that SKY is promoting Super 14 by saying summers over is ridiculous and not very smart. I've attempted to watch at least half a dozen games and have only watched a full game once. Penalties for reasons I've got no idea about and I've played & watched rugby for 20 years. It used to be you could watch any Super rugby game & witness a piece of attacking magic now you have to watch every game over a whole weekend and you're still lucky to see something you might see four times in a single Warriors game and that's saying something! Real rugby starts when real competition between skillful players and teams starts and that won't be until the semi-finals and then the Tri-Nations.
Keith
Rugby at the top level is seen as the cash cow for the NZRFU. They have fulltime contracted players and want them playing as much as possible. The requirement not to intrude on the "club window" (doesn't explain the first 8 rounds timing)determines game time. The laws are overcomplicated and poorly followed by players and referees. The competition is too long. Play two pools, semi's and finals..max of eight games giving a compressed window and the chance to build and sustain momentum.Basically at present to much rugby, to complicated rules, badly refereed. At least it is not a metronomic as a game of league..bash up 5 then kick and repeat (up to 60+ times a game)
MA Jamieson
There is too much rugby on TV now. The product has been diluted. I only watch crucial games.
Gareth
There is so much other sport on at the moment and the super rugby is far too predictable, and with another 2 teams from outside NZ who wants to watch 2 SA or Aussie teams fighting out for the wooden spoon! Will tune back in for semis and final (so long as it not fogged in). Until then bring on the Cricket, league, FA cup, Americas cup etc.
Praveen Menon
Coming from a rugby fanatic.....you can't have too much rugby but the new scrum laws and the inconsistencies of referees are absolutely frustrating. I don't mind the ads in between but to have a break and then coming back to referees who think that they are the game is crazy! Bring back Paddy!!! The new scrum laws are pathetic, we are spending more time watching collapsed scrums than blokes trying to showcase their talents against their rivals. Thats why more and more people prefer to watch league!
Edgar Smallwood
Because the rule changes - particularly those covering the scrum and tackled ball - have put the quality of the game into the hands / control of the referees,- many of whom are just as confused as the players. Many of whom need to watch their performance on video and cringe at their incompetence. The game is dull - too much concentration on " In Their Face Defence " which kills backline moves. Once again referees are weak and indecisive when it comes to the blatant offside positioning of the team on defence. I personally believe that the referees have a lot to answer for - 60 per cent to 70 per cent of the lost attendance is a direct result of their inability or unwillingness to let the game flow.
Jimmy
There's just too much rugby now and half my team don't even come from here anymore so who cares. I used to hang out for Friday night footy, play fantasy rugby etc...This year I couldn't even name the top 6 teams!
Sid Pickering
The new scrum (Crouch, touch, pause, engage) is intensely annoying. It is constantly being reset and the game is becoming almost unwatchable due to constant resets and stoppages. There are too many laws and the number of penalties being awarded at the breakdown is so very frustrating.I have been a rugby man all of my life but now (heaven forbid) I am actually enjoying watching rugby league more than I do rugby. The popularity of the game is going to continue to spiral downwards unless something is done now.
David
The game of RFU has become a one dimensional midfield tackle fest without any of the subtlety linked with its developing first cousin-RL.The scrum is a politically correct nightmare sponsored by ACC and the referees daily become more and more involved in coaching and counselling room chat. The end result of this will be a world cup in which the aim will be to produce the most collaborative team interface where winning has been consigned to its proper place at the bottom of the evolutionary chain and where all will be able to participate without needing any particular skill except the ability to listen.
Rachael
Too much rugby - I agree. And lets face it, we only want to watch the game that our favourite team is playing in. I will watch the Crusaders play, by why on earth would I waste my precious weekend watching the other 6 games? With Rugby going from February to November, there also isn't a sufficient enough gap to miss it. It feels like only a few weeks break, and that is taken up by the festive season. It should go back to a winter sport where it belongs.
Patrick Swann
I've switched off because the rugby has become pretty boring. The worst aspect is the continual resetting of scrums. Just one scrum can take up to 5 minutes. The new laws haven't improved things at all. The sooner Union goes to League style scrums the better.
Ray
The world cup seems to have killed off everything good about rugby. Not only is this year's super 14 competition now just a warm up session for the reconditioned All Blacks but the internationals are now just games to blood new players for the next world cup (whenever that may be). Only by killing the World Cup can we guarantee quality games and players year in/year out. Besides, the World Cup is only worth watching from the quarter finals stage anyway.
SP
I have watched very little rugby due to the following 2 reasons. Firstly the season started too early, now having missed most of the season, I am struggling to get enthused. Secondly I think Sky is a rip off for me to own, and don't want to waste the precious hours of summer daylight in a pub watching it there either.Rugby is for winter.
Jack Gruschow
I will never watch rugby in the middle of summer. It's the cricket season!
Gav
The game is dead as a spectacle.Between the rules and their application by bozzo referees, the game has been killed. Captains should have their own yellow and red cards for putting referees on notice. The use of yellow cards changes the course of games and should only be used for serious offences, not as it is currently used by referees to compensate for on field management.
Bob
Modern professional era has had to become totally focused "on a product" that generates revenue which sees IRB officials, franchises and referees all doing there bit to complicate things. Therefore the Coaches are continually having to adapt and conjure up ways to stay on top of the "market". This has given birth to defence orientated game plans which generally is dead beat boring, repetitious and lacking exhilarating and entertaining plays of yesteryear ! Most players have a modicum of intelligence and dont need referees to continuously shout the rules at them and tell them to get back/out or leave the ball alone! The whistle does that ! Touch judges are seldom consistent and appear to have too much say when it's NOT needed and not enough when it is needed! As for the Commentators; well Allan McLaughlan for R.L. is "simply the best!" Rugby Management need to listen to their commentators out in the provinces. Goff Moorecock (Wairapapa) and Paul Quinny (Taranaki)and that Southland bloke have given stirling service for years and clearly rate above the "former All Black" appointees.
Gene
Because it doesn't roll off the tongue as nicely as Super 12.
N Penny
A lot of other sport on at the moment. (Cricket, Louis Vuitton Cup). There is only so much time in the day to devote to the box. Also, the season starts too early so hard to get excited in summer about the rugby and then you lose track of the competition.
Sony
Rugby it too boring and above all kiwi teams consist of outsiders. There are other good programmes to watch rather then rugby. Its easy to see in the sports news who won.
Mike
We are not watching because the All Blacks 22 were not in the series - we are not watching because the rules are confusing and makes the game spasmodic controlled by the whistle, some of the skill level of so called professionals is abysmal all in all it makes the game boring to watch. Plus of course the inane commentaries desperately trying to make the game exciting and interesting.
M Owens
2 words. Indian summer. As soon as it gets properly cold I'll move from the cricket couch to the rugby couch. I note the league bleaters are seizing on the opportunity to make anti-rugby comments. Well boo-hoo to you. Instead try celebrating the world of diversity we currently enjoy in sport; in 20 years time there'll be nothing but soccer on TV, summer and winter.
Glen
I think the change in rules, resulting in more stoppages, and the poor quality of teams, possibly due to the talent pool being spread too thin is leading to poor quality rugby. You get only 1 - 2 good games on a weekend worth watching (Reds vs Waratahs - yawn fest) and most home games I'd rather be at the stadium.
Jaymeister
Sky TV is a rip-off and I object to having to pay for what are essentially provincial games. Only international games should be pay-per-view and Sky will make its millions off the Rugby World Cup.
Andre
Since the inception of Super 12/14 rugby in 1996, there have only been 3 teams who have won. It's looking likely that one of those previous winners will win again this year. Predictable? You betcha! Why would you want to watch a competition where the winner is pretty much known before the first kick off. A few years ago I watched every Highlanders home game and even followed them to Brisbane. This year I have watched one home game live (and that was free and courtesy of a corporate box). Will I watch any more live? Nope! Do I watch it live on Sky - depends what else is on offer but I certainly don't have my seat in the lounge half an hour before kick off!! Love Super 14 - Yeah Right!
Andrew Somervell
My reason is quite simple: My TV isnt plugged in anymore. Its the same reason TVNZ doesnt get any viewership hours out of me, lost ad revenue and chopped jobs. Sky stopped getting my attention and money long ago. Stream the games on the internet and i'll watch them religiously, I just paid the US$49.95 for Desktop TV to watch the Americas Cup. I love my rugby but I am not going to plug the idiot box in again just for that.
Chris H
After years of being a Sky subscriber, I dropped them at the end of last years rugby season. The reason was three fold. A recent price increase did not help. Their not getting the coverage of the World Cup. I did not enjoy the Super 14 as much as the Super 12. I am particularly disappointed in the World Cup coverage going to Three simply as I have paid Sky so much money over the years primarily for their rugby coverage that my subscription fees alone would have covered at least the cost of one game, and with every other sky subscriber pitching in their one games worth of fees over the past few years, surely their cheque book could have handled it.
Ab
I stopped watching rugby on TV when I stopped going to games and I stopped going to games when it became too expensive at the gate and I was forced to buy overpriced food and flat beer from the authorised reseller at the grounds. Then after being treated as a cash cow for too long I got rid of Sky. Now I just hope the corporates can prop up the NZRFU..as they are the only one's who get treated half decent, the rest of us have obviously now had enough, and one last thing..the rugby's boring!
Jared
Obviously the Super 14 is heading down the same track as the NPC did. . no one really caring.I to will only watch the All Blacks now days. The NZRFU has cooked its own goose by saturating the New Zealand public with too much rugby, its on for about 10 months of the year and the other two months is build up or reflection. I also believe that rugby league is a superior game due to the fact that theres always something happening and I dont have to listen to Murrey Mexted.
Dennis
The delay to the 22 ABs playing has not impacted my watching of the super 14. I think the main impact is the reduced quality of the games. Expanding from 12 to 14 teams has meant more games at less quality. The new rules have only increased the problem. If the broadcasters want better viewer numbers, then they should be pressuring the IRB to reduce the rules and complexities. Australian teams have been rubbish as well.
David
Too much poor quality rugby starting too early in the year. All of this is a result of the expansion of the competition from 12 to 14. The powers that be wanted more teams and more games to make more money... but it has kind of backfired. It is hard to argue that adding the 'Western Force' hasn't had a negative impact on the Reds and Waratahs! Having to pay extra for channels you don't want just to get the one you do want is also very off-putting. I never watch Sky Sport 1,2 or 3 but I pay for them, just so I can pay more again for the Rugby Channel (for wide-screen footy). Not exactly encouraging more people to sign on is it!
RP
Couple of reasons why people dont bother to watch: rugby gets rammed down your throat 24 hours 7 days a week - usually with lame reporting about soemone's injury or an interview with someone who cant string 2 words together (Andrew Saville / TV1 very bad at this) The public has grown up, this is not the isolated place it once was, there is usually something better to do with your time.
H. Marks
This year I'm more interested in the cricket and will be glued to the telly when the Rugby World Cup is on. The Warriors are going well, so there has been alot of sport to watch. The rugby coming out of Australia is awful, so I don't bother at all with those games--that's got nothing to do with missing A.B.s. When you break down the teams, The Highlanders loosies and backs are not up to it-nothing to do with lack of A.B.s. The Hurricanes still haven't got any rhythm and their A.B.s are back. The Chiefs are bumbling along and their problem has been mainly their injuries. The Blues have tremendous depth and haven't needed their A.B.s till now. The Crusaders have definitely upped the ante with their A.B.s back but then they had the most players involved in reconditioning in pivotal positions. It's the South African teams that have sparked the games up this year and they are also resting players. I try to watch some netball as well, so there is only so much television that I want to watch at a time.
Mr B.Allhead
Having 2 young kids I now spend a lot more time at home on a weekend than I used to so have the opportunity to be a rugby glutton...but the poor standard of play and woeful officiating (especially the Aussie refs) has put me off to the extent that I don't even try and fight the missus for the remote when she wants to watch America's Next Top Anorexic on a Friday night.
Raj Subramanian
In Sports shorter/swifter/thrilling games take over the traditional ones. Previously One Day cricket took over Test Match and now Twenty/20 is a big hit. No crowds for the One dayers in Caribbeans. In Rugby Sevens we can see more matches within short time and the tournament can be decided in a few days. Instead of making Rugby more interesting and shorter the new rules are a detriment to the viewers. I agree one more monopoly in New Zealand commercial scene is SkyTV. Even in underdeveloped countries, Cable TV operators give the viewing of 100s of channels at 1/50th of the price we are paying here. SKYTV terms like even after our paying $500 -they say they own the dish antenna, just hire them out to us. And they compel us to be with them for 6 months at least. These are monopolistic practices, no developed country could allow. But who said New Zealand is developed-not in infrastrcture, not in Government policies. Our people are no.1 in skills and determination, but our Government lives in closed circuit still.
Tom Speck
Yep I have to agree with most - too much inferior rugby playing the same teams over and over with frustrating refs and stupid new rules. On top of that it's world cup year - why waste my rugby passion on average super and provincial tournaments when the world cup is coming up! My lack of rugby watching so far has had nothing to do with the 22 AB's being away - if Sky sues NZRFU it will be about making more money to offset the lack of interest Sky themselves created by saturating the game, not compensation for something the NZRFU did. If it helps us win the cup (finally) Graham Henry can do anything he likes.
Patrick
There are many very obvious reasons why rugby on TV is falling away: Far too many games -should be cut by 40%; Scrum rules and breakdown rules are impossible to follow lucidly. The Referees are not ruling on the Laws of Rugby, they are using their own interpretations. The Referees now give every player a warning before they penalise them. There is no accommodation in the Laws of Rugby for these weird interpretations. The players should be penalised for all rule infractions....no warnings, just apply the rules. All three Refs should be able to apply all res, just like they do in basketball, and they should be forbidden to talk to players except for disciplinary purposes. Many people are thoroughly brassed off with the way Graham Henry has destroyed both the History of the All Blacks and the current AB jerseys available to everyone except the bus driver. Henry has struck a dreadful blow against the standard of rugby by being allowed to with-hold players from the Super comp. The NZRU has made a terrible mistake of sacrificing rugby as we know it by allowing Henry to withdraw players from Super rugby. The NZRU should tell the IRB that they simply will not tolerate the changes they have made to rugby any more. There has to be a change in the IRB set-up. Each country should only be allowed to have one rep. There is an urgent need to bring back shortened tours (max 8 games).
Mark
There is just too much rugby being played these days, quite simple!! We now have an extended super 14, extended tri-nations, and NPC. This year throw in the world cup. I love my rugby, but I have a life, and there is just too much rugby to bother keeping up with it all. Obviously, the silly rule changes etc have made it a double whammy... not just more rugby, more stop-start boring rugby. The NRL has a much stronger competition going at the moment. Finally, I must also agree that Sky needs a shake up. They have a monopoly on the market and they are providing a weak service... Not only with sport, but overall.
Sam
I have to agree, the scrum rules are a joke and the inconsistency of refs has made it impossible to know what is going to happen at the breakdown. You know there will be a penalty but was it for holding on or will it go the other way for hands or not releasing the player. Ritchie McCaw spent most of the Force game with players pulling on his jersy and the next week we see players penalise for lesser offences. Lets get back to the simple days and few rules when if you want to lie of the ball or use your hands you can and you risk getting rucked (Southland style). Having said that at least the game still flow a bit and I haven't missed a game all season and have them all on DVD to watch again obviously some will just gather dust but some are classics. It's the NRL that has got worse, OK NRL has always been run, stop, restart stop again, you know the thing ever 5 second the ball is uncontested. It never gets passed until the fourth or fifth tackle. At least you know if the ball hits the ground it was knocked on regardless of which way it goes, there is no deviation between refs. The same applies to passed you can pass a ball as if it were American football and it is unlikely to be called forward, it's sort of like touch football with punches thrown in. May be the answer is NRL refs and the old IRB rules.
Tom
NZ Rugby is a mess. It's run by television,RWC management, obese administrators, and played by mainly robots who haven't done a hard days work in their life and haven't a rugby brain, and controlled by prima-donnas who turn a simple game of running, kicking, scrums and lineouts, into a mess of stops, starts, have a drink, spit anywhere, pile in a heap, and run on and off. I now watch League or Soccer.
Graeme Andrews
There is way too much rugby being played. The TV viewer is just saturated by it. The season starts when cricket is still being played.
I am not interested till the Tri Nations start and maybe NPC rugby.
Please reduce the number of games, which the bosses will have to do if nobody is watching it, the turnout at games is the lowest in years even at the normaly loyal Crusaders Jade Stadium.
Shane Ggrimstone
Love it. I live in Perth WA and have foxtel. I sat down at 10.30am to watch my home team the Chiefs whip the force and watched every other game. Keep it up Sky TV, Rugby rules. If people think there is too much Rugby, dont watch it
Brad
SANZAR has got the formula all wrong. They are more interested in making money through TV deals with the expanded super comp and tri nations. The product we have now is heavily diluted. I used to watch S14 week after week but the excitement factor has gone, possibly because the competition is weaker. I would also prefer to see a distinct break between cricket and rugby seasons so that I have a few weeks to get excited about the new rugby season ahead. Thank God for rugby league.
Jonno
In my case its as simple as moving, taking a pay cut, expanding the mortgage and my wife not yet in full time employment. Sky and broadband are luxuries and are off the menu until the $$ situation improves.I live in a town that doesn't even have Radio Sport, so I am really suffering. Donations gratefully received!
Steve
I used to watch every game I could. I used to get up at all hours to watch the South African games live. But this year, I have yet to watch a full game, in fact I have only tried to watch two. It's boring. I think it's because the Ref now dictates the way the game is played, it's static and predictable - but what do I know, I only pay the subscription.
Jason
There are a number of reasons. 1. It is too early- it was still daylight savings when it started for goodness sake. 2. World Cup year for our cricketers and we look half a chance for a change. 3. Our rugby diet is formulaic, and unlike the NRL, the same teams dominate the competition every year. I am a big Crusaders fan but the other night was flicking between the Crusaders game and the Warriors game and was far more entertained by the 'made for TV' code that is League. Interest will return, but the real prize this year will be given out in France. That's what we are waiting for.
Bev
My disappointment is that not enough of the Super 14 games are free to air and you loose continuity by not seeing enough. I am on an invalids benefit and rugby is very special to me. I used to have the Sky rugby channel but I could no longer afford it. If you want rugby to be viewed you need to have it to view!! It breaks my heart that I am unable to view the sports games as I like the cricket as well and there has not been any free to air cricket this world cup!! Come on guys please give us a chance to watch and follow our National Sport!! I was excited when Sky took over Prime as I thought we would get more sport but it has been the opposite. My answer to why people dont connect again when the next rugby season comes on is that they can no longer afford it. Every day there is something going up and we are even robbed of pleasure because of it!! Please, please give us more sport free to air so there is something to watch and follow.
Trish Brady
I don't have sky but used to watch the games when it was on tv3
Jonson
Rugby Union gone poofy soft - the game needs players that everybody likes to hate, some big mouth (Mundine type), no shy, dont give a hoot, hard attitude player that everybody wants to pay & watch being tackle the day light out of. Super 14 needs dramas of mangers or coaches going at each other, players need to harden up. Talk hard, break the rules.WWF style).
Attila
Kiwis like to watch Super 1414 rugby because New Zealand teams are successful. Not because it`s fun to watch. Cricket and league are much better games in my opinion, and with the Black Caps and Warriors doing well, the focus is shifting from rugby. Rugby is full of incomprehensible rules and stupid set pieces, that make it a slow, stop-start game. No wonder people are switching as soon as another sport is winning.
Gary
Super Rubgy is getting tired and repetitive. It's the same old teams playing with virtually the same old results. I had a season ticket at Eden Park for the last 6 years. This year I didn't renew it. Too much money for the same old games. Same goes for Tri Nations. I will always support the All Blacks but I won't always watch the games. Wow, Eden Park gets another game against the Aussies!!!
Another issue is the Cricket World Cup, The America's Cup and the the A1 GP. All something exciting and different about them so they are worth a watch.
Peter
Rugby overload for viewers. Childish commentary- silly chat.
Mike Rose
Starts too early, rubbish referees, boring rugby and too much. We've still got the All Black tests, the Tri-Nations and the World Cup - and there is Cricket World Cup & America's Cup. So much choice for a sports fan, why choose to watch rubbish games that don't really matter?
Tom Semmens
The rules have been reduced to a joke - the scrum engagement is a joke, the IRB is terrified of rucking so the tackled ball area is a joke, and technical infringements at
