The strangest place I have lived is a toss up between two places; first place was the garage of one of my friends mother, luckly it was a large-ish sized as it was me and my boyfriend and my friend and her partner at the time. The second place was a factory, it wasnt really set up for living, as the bedroom was a mezzanine floor, and down stairs were all the cars, though the window to the shower was somewhat painted over people walking to the lunch bar next door, could have peeked in if they wanted.

A student flat in a converted old Christchurch mansion that had 17 one room flats in the main building and another 13 in the surrounding outbuildings. Ours had a bath in the hot water cupboard off the (tiny) kitchen and a handbasin in a wardrobe. There was no bathroom at all. The toilet was down the hall. Mind you, it was right next to the University so it had its good points. We turned the hot water off and showered at the Rec Centre next door to save on power bills. Then we just had to boil the jug to do the dishes. There were two of us living in the one bed unit - one of us had a bed in the corner of the living room.
