A young woman had to fight her way free from an attempted abduction in Dunedin yesterday afternoon.
Dunedin police said the 18-year-old was walking on Forth St in Dunedin at 4.25pm when she was "grabbed" by a back seat passenger of a parked vehicle who attempted to pull her into the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle also attempted to push the victim into the back seat, but the teenager managed to fight her way out of the vehicle and was uninjured.
The vehicle was described as an "older 1990s-type" station wagon in a dirty condition with black roof racks.
