A young New Zealander is about to get a taste of her dream of working for the United Nations in a whirlwind multi-nation experience.
Former Youth MP for the Epsom electorate Ellie Bishop has been selected as one of the delegates for The Hague International Model United Nations
The 18-year-old will join 21 other Kiwis in travelling to New York, Berlin, Geneva and The Hague, visiting UN headquarters and taking part in a model UN conference.
"I'm so excited. It's an amazing opportunity, and I'm just so grateful to be picked as well, really," she said.
Miss Bishop is about to start studying law and international relations in the hope of one day forging a career with the UN.
