Young hospital patient goes missing

Police say they have serious concerns for the safety of a teenage patient who went missing from Porirua Hospital yesterday afternoon.

Joy Leanne Vincent, 15, was last seen at the hospital about 3pm yesterday. Police were concerned for her welfare due to her mental state.

There have been no reported sightings of Joy, who is Pakeha, 157cm tall, of medium build, with dyed black shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black vest with fur trim, black trousers and black and pink sneakers. She has numerous scars on both arms.

Anyone seeing her is asked to contact Porirua police.
