A young man is dead after a car crash in Canterbury this evening.
Emergency services were called to State Highway 1 in Dunsandel about 5pm today after two cars crashed head on.
The 20-year-old driver and sole occupant of a Subaru died at the scene.
Police are working on contacting the man's family.
The driver and passengers of a Toyota vehicle have been taken to Christchurch Hospital.
