A teenager already charged with three counts of manslaughter after a fatal accident in Mt Roskill on December 18 faced drink-driving and dangerous driving charges relating to the incident when he appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday.
David Time, 18, part-time cleaner, of Mangere, was charged late last year with causing the deaths of Joe Ahkiau, Amber Baddock and family member Faafetai Time by dangerous driving "thereby committing manslaughter". It is alleged Time was driving a car in which Faafetai Time was a passenger.
The car and a truck carrying Joe Ahkiau and Amber Baddock collided on Stoddard Rd.
Yesterday, Time faced four more charges relating to injuries suffered by his passengers - two of dangerous driving causing injury and two of driving with excess blood-alcohol, causing injury.
He was remanded without plea to appear again next month.
