A young boy has been flown to hospital with head injuries after a holiday pushbike accident on the Coromandel Peninsula.
The seven-year-old fell from his bike in Waihi Beach late last night.
The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to retrieve him about 8.20pm.
He was flown to Tauranga Hospital in a serious condition.
