Fonterra has issued a recall of a number of its yoghurt products after the discovery of traces of peanuts which could be harmful to consumers with an allergy or intolerance to the nuts.
The company advised any person concerned with their health to seek medical advice.
The products are: Fresh 'n' Fruity Simply Strawberry 150-gramme singles, six-packs and 1kg packs, Fresh 'n' Fruity Golden Strawberry 150g six packs, Fresh 'n' Fruity Berries Galore six-packs, Fresh 'n' Fruity Greek Strawberry 500g packs, Anlene Strawberry 150g four packs and 450g packs.
All potentially affected products had use by dates of between July 17 and August 5.
"Independent testing had failed to detect allergen levels higher than one part per million in the fruit pulp and there had been no reports of adverse reaction," Fonterra said.
People wanting to return the products should do so at the retailer they bought them from or contact Fonterra on 0800-103778.
The company apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers.
