KEY POINTS:
As if it was it was needed - Porsche has introduced a more powerful version of its Cayenne Turbo, called the S.
The company says the new model is a response to requests from its customers, especially in emerging markets, such as Eastern Europe and Asia.
Despite increasing the power of the twin-turbo 4.8-litre V8 engine from 368kW to 404kW, Porsche has kept the fuel consumption the same. The Turbo S chassis has air suspension, along with Porsche Active Suspension Management, which is combined with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control.
The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system is also available as an option. The enhanced performance over the regular Turbo is due to its modified exhaust system and improvements in engine control.
On top of the performance improvements, there has also been an increase in maximum torque by 50Nm to 750Nm.
