Masterton musician Ladyhawke has done it again - named a double finalist at the 2012 New Zealand Music Awards and proving she still has what it takes to be an international pop star.
She is nominated for Best Solo Female Artist and Best Alternative Album.
The finalists and winners are picked by the Awards Voting Academy, made up of more than 150 music industry representatives.
Music Awards spokesman Chris Caddick said this year was particularly special for the awards because there are a lot of new artists up for nomination.
"I think it is an incredibly exciting year because we are seeing the emergence of a whole new wave of musicians."
