A man dubbed the "Yellow Robber" has been caught by police following tipoffs from the public.
Security camera shots of the man, who was often seen wearing a yellow jumper, were published in the Herald and on nzherald.co.nz last week following a series of bank robberies in South Auckland.
On Saturday, Mangere police arrested a 17-year-old and charged him with four counts of robbery. He is due to appear in the Manukau District Court today.
Police said they tracked him down after receiving calls from members of the public who had seen his photograph in the newspaper.
