KEY POINTS:
A man police have dubbed the "yellow robber" has struck again, hitting the same Post Bank in South Auckland he targeted two weeks ago.
The man has worn the same bright yellow jumper on all his four of his raids on banks.
Detective Rob Kerr said the man walked into a Post Bank in Manukau City about 5.45pm yesterday, around the same time he was being featured on television news.
Mr Kerr said the man used the same method as on previous robberies - walking brazenly into the bank, handing a note to the teller with a demand for money and casually walking out again with the cash.
He appealed to anyone recognising the man to telephone police.
Meanwhile, Steve Kurt Peri was due to appear in Auckland District Court today on other unrelated post bank robberies.
Peri gave himself up to police after being spotted leaving an Auckland fast food restaurant last night.
Peri, 28, was wanted for robberies on post banks in the Auckland suburbs of Royal Heights, Massey, Pt Chevalier and Khyber Pass since August 13.
A Post Bank branch in Colombo St, Sydenham, Christchurch was also targeted this morning.
Police said a male Maori or Polynesian of slim build walked in about 10am.
He presented a note stating he had a weapon and demanded cash. After being handed some money he calmly walked out of the bank heading toward the city centre.
