Yacht stranded on rocks in Sounds

Police have gone to the aid of a yacht which hit rocks near the entrance to Tory Channel in the Marlborough Sounds this morning.

The police launch Lady Elizabeth lll had been called in to assist the stranded vessel, a Wellington police spokesman said.

There were no injuries.
