A 9m yacht has capsized near Waiheke Island while competing in a race.
Emergency rescue services responded to an alert sent by the occupants of the boat at 11.30am.
The boat had capsized about 3km east of the island's northeastern tip.
Neither of the two people on board was injured when it capsized.
Coastguard duty officer, John Cowan, said two coastguard vessels were at the scene and were now deciding what to do with the yacht.
