Xtra customers left mum on Mother's Day

A technical fault left Xtra's dial-up and broadband customers temporarily unable to send or receive their Mother's Day messages yesterday afternoon.

A company spokesman says a problem with a router developed about 3.30pm yesterday and left people unable to access email or the internet for about two hours.
