Xiujuan Xu, 47, was a student at the King's Education language school in the CTV building.
She died when the building collapsed in the earthquake.
Xiujuan had only arrived in New Zealand the month prior to the earthquake.
She was formally identified as a victim of the disaster by Chief Coroner Judge Neill MacLean in June 2011.
