Dunedin is to host the world premiere of a stage show based on the life and music of the American singer John Denver.
Theatrical producer Harold Thau said yesterday that Whisper the Wind would kick off in Dunedin in September and then play in theatres throughout New Zealand and head to Australia next year.
Denver was 53 when he was killed in a plane crash in 1997.
