Search for bridge victims will be 'slow and dangerous'
Divers suspended their search for victims hidden in the swirling, murky waters of the Mississippi River at sunset on Thursday, in what authorities said would be a slow and dangerous recovery operation after the worst US bridge collapse in more than 20 years.
Nine people were confirmed dead in the tragedy and more than 30 were still missing 24 hours after the 40-year-old bridge buckled and fell during rush hour traffic.

Glasgow terror suspect dies
A man who suffered severe burns when he allegedly mounted an al Qaeda attack on Glasgow airport in Scotland has died in hospital, British police said today.
Kafeel Ahmed, 27, was one of two occupants of a fuel-laden Jeep that rammed into the front doors of the airport on June 30 and burst into flames.

Bush freezes assets of those tied to Lebanon violence
President George W Bush has ordered a freeze on the US assets of anyone Washington deems to be undermining Lebanon's pro-Western government.
The Bush administration did not identify those targeted by the decree, but it comes just a month after he imposed a US travel ban on Syrian officials and Lebanese politicians whom the United States accuses of fomenting instability in Lebanon.
