An agricultural worker was lucky to escape serious injury after falling several metres at his Carterton worksite.
The middle-aged man was believed to have fallen from a silo at East Taratahi and was flown to Wellington Hospital aboard the Westpac Rescue Helicopter with moderate injuries about 3.45pm on Tuesday.
Sharpes Stock Feeds co-owner Alastair Orsborn said the injured man had received "bad bruising but nothing too major, fortunately" and a Worksafe investigation into the incident had been launched.
Mr Orsborn confirmed the man had been flown to the capital city hospital after falling several metres.
