The road near Kupe's Sail, which had been closed since the storm in June, was expected to be ready in around three weeks, a Rigg-Zschokke Building Contract Limited worker said.
David Hargood said the construction team were making steady progress on the road and were ready for the next phase in the project.
"We hope to pour the first section of concrete next week. It needs to be done in layers and left to dry between each one, we expect about four layers would be needed."
The road leads to seal colonies and the Cape Palliser lighthouse. Mr Hargood said he hoped the road would be finished soon, weather permitting.
