Two workers have been discharged from Whangarei Hospital after being overcome by fumes today at a Carter Holt Harvey factory at Marsden Pt, near Whangarei.
The men were were understood to have been affected by fumes from a catchment pond, prompting a callout of the Fire Service, including a hazardous materials unit.
No trace was found of the fumes, which were thought to have dissipated.
